Alhoewel de meeste zwemmers ervoor kiezen om tijdens de wintermaanden indoor te zwemmen, is er ook een groep mensen die zich graag wend tot het winter/ijs zwemmen. Met gelijkgestemde ervaren we deze bijzonder vorm van zwemmen, veelal bij temperaturen rond het vriespunt. Wat ijs zwemmen je brengt is mentale kracht, weerstand en relativeringsvermogen.

Alhoewel het programma zich richt op alle niveau’s, biedt dit ook aan de gevorderde ijs zwemmer de ideale gelegenheid om onder deskundige begeleiding voor te bereiden op een ijszwem wedstrijd.

Vanaf oktober tot  februari, worden er in het 50 meter buiten zwembad De Waterdam,Edam/Volendam zwem trainingen gegeven vanaf 9.00 tot 11.00 uur.

Met of zonder wetsuit trainen is toegestaan.

ICE SWIMMING VOLENDAM 2021 = gecanceld ivm COVID-19.

Zaterdag 16 januari 2021

Zaterdag 16 januari 2021 vanaf 10.00 uur. Starten we met de 1000 meter en daarna de volgende afstanden 200 ,50, 100, 500 en 4 x 100 estafette teams.

Inschrijving is nog gesloten.

Deelname aan  dit evenementen geschied te allen tijde op eigen risico.

De organisatie behoudt zich het recht om de swim challenge/wedstrijd af te gelasten indien de veiligheid met betrekking de deelnemers in het geding komt.

Hierbij wordende inschrijfgelden niet geretourneerd. Als de watertemperatuur boven de vijf graden is gaat het evenement gewoon door, maar worden de tijden niet erkend.

Bij dit evenement worden video opnames gemaakt. Wanneer je aan dit evenement deelneemt, geef je de organisatie toestemming om beelden(foto en video)en MYLAPS uitslagen waar je op staat te gebruiken voor communicatiedoeleinden.
